Help for Tome audiobooks.

Tome plays M4B, M4A, and MP3 audiobooks from a folder you choose in iCloud Drive. It does not include a store, account system, ads, or analytics.

Getting Started

• Put your audiobook files in a folder in iCloud Drive.
• Open Tome and choose that folder with the system folder picker.
• Tap a book to prepare it for playback. Cloud-only files may need to download first.

Supported Files

Tome scans files ending in .m4b, .m4a, and .mp3. A folder can contain one audiobook file or multiple parts of the same book.

Playback and Sync

Tome saves playback progress locally and syncs the current position through Apple iCloud Key-Value Store when iCloud is available. Background audio, lock-screen controls, bookmarks, chapters, speed control, and a sleep timer are supported in V1.

Accessibility

Tome follows your iPhone's system light and dark appearance, uses native iOS controls, supports Dynamic Type where practical, and includes accessibility labels for the main library and player controls.

Troubleshooting

• If a book does not appear, confirm that the file is inside the selected folder and uses a supported extension.
• If playback waits on a cloud file, open the Files app and confirm the file can download from iCloud Drive.
• If progress does not sync, confirm that iCloud is enabled on both iPhones and that both devices use the same Apple ID.
• If the selected folder is moved or renamed, choose the library folder again in Tome.
